Cases of dengue in El Salvador continue to increase and the local health authorities are alarmed. Every week there are at least 200 new people infected, and although fortunately the figures are far from last year's, the country must be prepared for emergency. In the week from September 3 to September 10, 3642 confirmed cases were reported, of which 39 of hemorrhagic type, and 3 deaths. The local health minister says he is concerned about the coexistence in the country of four strains of dengue, the most serious is the hemorrhagic type, which is what is primarily infecting the population and is the most dangerous to health.
