A blushing bride at her wedding reception in the Buckeye State got the better of an inebriated female guest who wound up in jail on charges of assault and disorderly conduct. Off-duty patrolman Dan Kuack was at the pavilion at St. Clarence Catholic parish in North Olmsted OH when he heard screaming between a drunken Brooke Burke and two male guests in the parking lot. The two gentlemen, seeing that Brooke was impaired, had taken the keys to her car to prevent her from getting on the roads.
Officer Kuack calmed down the outraged Burke and led her back to the reception hall.
It was then that the bride, Margaret Burke, sprung into action to tell the officer that Brooke had assaulted her earlier in the evening, according to a police report. Margaret claimed that Brooke had been dancing too close with the groom at the reception. The new bride told Brooke that she did not appreciate the latter’s slow dancing with the groom. The bride claimed that red-head Brooke screamed and refused to release the groom from her grip.
"Brooke turned around and started to approach the bride and began to yell at her and attempted to grab her," the police report stated. Brooke is believed to be Margaret’s new sister in law, but this is yet to be confirmed. Brooke, according to the bride, was “very intoxicated.”
Officer Kuack tried to get the drunk Brooke to sit down, but "She fell to the ground kicking and screaming and being belligerent," according to the report. Brooke then allegedly struck the officer multiple times on his face. Restraining her on a table amid the guest, the resourceful officer Kuack radioed for help. on the left side of his face several times, leading to redness and swelling. He restrained her on the table and radioed for help, according to the arrest report.
Brooke has been released from jail and is scheduled to appear in a local court on April 10. There was no word as to any repercussions for the bridegroom for his close encounter with Brooke.
