There are now less than ten days until President-elect Donald Trump takes office, and leftists are beginning to show signs of fraying nerves. Rosie O’Donnell, who has not only clashed with Trump in the past but even falsely suggested that his youngest son may suffer with Asperger’s syndrome, wrote on Twitter today that she supports imposing martial law to delay the Inauguration.
In response to a Twitter user, O’Donnell tweeted back: “Fully support imposing martial law - delaying the inauguration - until Trump is 'cleared' of all charges.' The Twitter user had called for a military coup to control the government until Trump can demonstrate that he has no no financial ties to Russia.
“Show ur your taxes -- show us your taxes - show us your taxes -- show us ur taxes,' O’Donnell tweeted. “We the people want to see them -- show us ur taxes #Trump.”
Despite a history of exchanges between the two dating back to at least 2006, Trump wished a quick recovery for O’Donnell after she suffered a heart attack. He tweeted: “Hey @Rosie–how is your recovery going?”
“I hope you are doing well so we can start fighting again soon!”
For months, Trump's opponents have called for martial law to prevent his assumption of office. A tweet by a self-described atheist on November 8 said that he would be "okay" with martial law.
