Author and cartoonist Scott Adams tweeted a photo that captured his meeting with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office of the White House. The meeting happened on August 2. An August 3 tweet from Adams noted that he was boarding a plane home to Los Angeles and that he would describe the “atmospherics” of the meeting in one of his regular chats on Periscope. In the August 2 tweet, Adams wrote: “Today I had the honor of meeting your favorite president. I already feel sorry for whoever runs against him in 2020.”

Adams famously predicted, in public appearances, that Trump would win the 2016 presidential election. Saying that Trump is a “master persuader,” Adams heralded before all of the primary results came in that Trump would win in a “landslide.” Besides helming his “Dilbert” cartoon strip, Adams is the author of “How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big,” “God’s Debris,” and other books.
