First Lady Melania Trump warmed up an appreciative crowd in Warsaw, just before her husband President Donald Trump also took the stage to speak. Expressing appreciation for the “warm welcome” that she and the president received, she spoke of Poland as a “beautiful country.”
Melania Trump said on Thursday that the "security" of the American people is the foremost interest of her husband’s administration, adding that all people should be allowed to “live their lives without fear.”
Taking a prominent role in the official visit to Poland, she expressed appreciation of a tour she took earlier on Thursday at a science center where people come “to observe, experiment, to ask questions, and seek answers.” It should serve to inspire Americans and Poles, she said.
It emerged on the same day that the president of Slovenia, the Eastern European nation where Melania Trump was born, has extended an invitation to President Trump for a visit. No word on the possible date of the visit was announced.
