According to a spokesman, President-elect Donald Trump will go to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida after headlining a rally in Orlando as part of his thank-you tour. He will remain in Florida over next week to celebrate Christmas. Jason Miller said today, “The President-elect will be in Mar-a-Lago this evening and I would expect him…to be in Palm Beach for most of, if not all of this next week.” Trump will be accompanied by his family.
The president-elect received an intelligence briefing from his National Security Adviser, retired Gen. Michael Flynn, who was once the head of the Defense Intelligence Agency until President Obama fired him. Trump then met with Obama’s Homeland Security Secretary, Jeh Johnson.
Trump is also scheduled to meet Italian singer/songwriter Andrea Bocelli, who is rumored to be one of the acts to appear at the celebrations for the January 20 inauguration. Another entertainer rumored to be coming is pop singer Taylor Swift. He is also meeting with Vincent Viola of Virtu Financial. On December 14, Trump met with some of the business titans of the United States. Among them were the CEOs of Alphabet (the parent company of Google), Apple, and PayPal. Notable for their absence were the CEOs of Facebook and Twitter -- the social media websites that he utilized to great effect during the election campaign.
