A remote controlled bomb targeting a government employees' bus at Charsadda Road near Peshawar, Pakistan, killed 21 people including several women and hurt 42 others on June 8. The explosion took place near the Dawoodzai police station located in the city near the very north of Pakistan. Local police have confirmed that at least 8-kilograms of explosives were used in the attack.

Victims were rushed to the nearby Lady Reading Hospital. At the blast site, the back of the colorfully decorated bus was torn apart, leaving a mass of tangled and twisted metal. Police cordoned off the area while rescue efforts are still underway. At this time, no group has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack.
