Blast At Iraqi Police Academy

Iraqi officials say 15 people have been killed by an explosion in a crowd of police recruits in Baghdad.

Police said the recruits were leaving the national Police Academy near the Interior Ministry in eastern Baghdad around midday.

Reports say 21 people were wounded in the blast. A hospital official confirmed the casualties.

Officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release the information.
