When a dump truck traveling on a highway in Grand Prairie, Texas, tried to avoid hitting a car that was stopped on the thoroughfare, it ended up crashing and exploding. Surveillance cameras recorded the action on Tuesday at about 6 a.m. in Grand Prairie.

Officers with the Texas Department of Public Safety told CBS news that the driver of a Dodge PT Cruiser was stopped on recently opened lanes on Highway 360, The vehicle was travelling in reverse when the dump truck was closing in. The surveillance cameras recorded that the dump truck swerved and brushed the car before crashing into the center dividing barrier and burst into flames.

The driver of the car was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, according to CBS Dallas. And while the dump truck's cab was completely knocked off its mounts, officials said the driver of the truck was not injured.
