Jim Bakker -- a televangelist who with his wife Tammy Faye once swayed millions -- suggested that anti-Trump riots will make finding food impossible. As a stop-gap against hunger, Bakker called the viewers of his program to buy his buckets of survival food. The preserved meals include, for example, the “Tasty Pantry Deluxe Food Bucket.”

Bakker warned, “We are in the Last Days,” while saying. “If you want to be safe and there’s rioting in your street, what are you going to do? Is your mom going to walk down through where they’re burning and killing and all?”

Sasha Volz, who is Bakker's co-host, claimed to be acquainted with people in the San Francisco Bay area who said that the anti-Trump riots in nearby Oakland had made things unsafe to “go outside,”  or "drive down the street.”  She claimed that the disturbances in Oakland that followed Trump's election made them fearful to “go out and buy food for themselves and their family—luckily, that family does have food in their home.” Volz recommended buying Bakker's food buckets, “before these riots come to a neighborhood near you.”

God told Bakker, he claimed, that riots are on their way. “We’re having a civil war. This is what God spoke to me before: a civil war between good and evil. These people, I don’t know how they can get by with what they’re doing.” Along those lines, Bakker said, “Things are going to happen and we must be prepared for what’s coming on the earth.” Bakker continued, saying “The war is going to get greater. Warfare is coming, God spoke that to me this morning, today. A civil war between good and evil. The Revelation days are here, praise God!”
