Joseph Allen was heavily intoxicated when he entered a McDonald’s restaurant and threatened its employees. The 46-year-old former felon was apparently not pleased by the sounds of Christmas music playing in the hamburger haven and demanded to hear either Muslim or Hindu music. According to police in Largo, Florida, the cheery Christmas tunes were coming from a radio.
Allen’s threatening behavior prompted McDonald’s staff to call for an emergency response. Officers from the Largo Police Department responded and approached Allen. According to police, Allen had addressed the staff “in an aggressive manner” and caused them to “fear for their safety.”
According to Largo police, Allen “walked into the McDonald’s restaurant while under the influence of alcohol and began cursing at customers and employees.” When police frisked allen, a small bag of methamphetamine narcotics was discovered in a pocket of his trousers. .
Allen was arrested on disorderly conduct and narcotics possession charges. He has previous charged for assault, battery, carrying a concealed weapon, criminal mischief, disorderly intoxication, distributing stolen property, grand theft, and trespass. Allen is now chilling out at the county jail, with bail set at $2,150.
