Al Gore called on President Donald Trump to "resign" immediately. He made the remark during an interview on Thursday with LAD Bible, the largest entertainment website of the United Kingdom. The former vice-president talked about his theories on global climate change while promoting his new film, "An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power."

When the interviewer asked Gore for "one piece of advice" for Trump, Gore replied: "Resign."

Apparently, the exchange was recorded before the premiere of Gore’s film in the UK on August 10. Also, they do not appear to be a response to Trump’s condemnations of the violence that was unleashed in Charlottesville, Va. Gore has railed against Trump’s June 1 decision to pull out of the controversial Paris climate change agreement.
