What I'm reading/watching/listening to now.

I was just wondering if anyone here had a tried and true recipe for Hot Buttered Rum that they could vouch for and would like to share. I'm not sure, with all of the variations out there, which is the best. I tried posing this question to my friends on facebook, but due to an overrepresentation of SDAs, I didn't really get an answer.

Thanks!

Just read this article on The Europe Syndrome and The Challenge to American Exceptionalism written by Charles Murray. I found it very interesting. Any thoughts?

I guess science is only legitimate or effective if the government (i.e. the tax payer) funds it. Well, now that the anti-science Bush administration is out to the way, we can get back business. I just have one question: why is it that when it comes to the issue of abortion, an embryo is little more than a meaningless, disposable tumor; yet when we're talking stem cell research, suddenly an embryo becomes the next lifesaving miracle drug? When are the elite going to see the human embryo for what it is; human life?

Every evil is sin, but is every sin evil?

It seems that sin and evil are often used interchangeably, but what relation are they to each other?

Catholics, what are your opinions about the existence of ghosts and how they fit into Christian theology? I ask because it seems more and more apparent that they do indeed appear from time to time here on earth to many people in many places. I'm talking shadows, mists, full apparitions, objects moving, and voices. Some people experience this kind of activity for years or decades without ever having anything terribly negative or scary happen to them. I'm not even referring to demonic possessions, rather just the experiences of many who find something attached to their house or even their land. What is the meaning of it? Is it all just evil playing tricks, or is there really some possibility human spirits get trapped on earth, revisiting the same scenarios from their lives over and over?
