G4;
Have you ever actually researched where the original Greek came from that the King James version of the bible is based on?

I do not believe that there is a simple answer to this question. In my opinion, the answer lies within the attributes of God and the reason for Sacred Scripture. This question has haunted me for years and after attending the vigil liturgy on Saturday I revisited it.

catholics weren't the only ones to translate the Bible, Christians did as well, But we got the true God inspired Bible.

G4, please help me with this? When was this other Christian Bible compiled? What texts or codex's were used? What language was it written in? Who authorized it? And most importantly Why should we accept it as authentic?

I would love to know the history of this "other" Christian Bible.

Dogmas of the Catholic Faith

Take any of these G4 and have at it. Why not count how many of them you actually agree with? In a nutshell these are what Catholics believe and regardless of how often you may call us liars you must admit that much of your present day beliefs stem from these historically. IOW you owe the Catholic Church not only for Scripture but also the foundational interpretation thereof for your man made religion; because that's exactly what it is.

G'day everyone,
Recently I accepted a position,(voluntary) as religious instructor in a local public school(they do things differently 'down under'). I will have one class, Friday mornings, consisting of 16 children, 3 kinders, 7, first graders and 6,second graders. This should be alot of fun considering I have never formally taught a class in my life. Any way just looking for some feedback and good analogies dealing with How much God loves us that a youngster can understand. Luckily these classes are only a half hour in length.

Current posts seem to indicate that only Christians can be saved. I kinda disagree with that notion for a few reasons. It may be that the definition of Christian is either too broad or perhaps too restricted. In any case I know that Catholic theology coined the term invincible ignorance. But there is also a fundamental difference between the Christian denominations and orthodoxy concerning grace...what it is, where it comes from and how it effects our journey or a better term would be pilgrimage here on earth. Christ gave several commands to those who would follow Him. The two which we all know is Love God with your whole heart, mind and strength and Love your neighbor as yourself.

Seems to me that regardless of a persons religious orientations if they do these two things, which in my opinion can only be accomplished through grace, they are indeed Christian or followers of Christ and as a result will be raised up on the last day.

Certainly there is a hope for salvation for each person and even though I believe that the Catholic faith is the road map through the wilderness, I can't help but hope that God's grace is working outside the confines of the visible Church and that those millions or billions that have gone before us had the opportunity to receive the grace of baptism through a genuine desire to be with God.

Recently a comment was made in this forum that animals understand unconditional love better than humans. This statement reminded me of a discussion I had with a fellow catholic pertaining to the same topic. Personally, I do not believe that creatures with mortal souls are capable of Unconditional Love and I would go so far as to say that promoting such an idea lowers the dignity of man.
I'd appreciate any input regarding a workable definition and examples showing UL in the animal kingdom.

It's quite possible that higher ordered creatures such as apes and whales may have this capacity.

Perhaps a discussion dealing with how Jesus communicates to His flock would be helpful.
