Hi I want to get something clear if possible? Jesus is the Son of the Father and then Jesus cried out to the Father Abba Father,How can He be the Father also? He taught us to pray to the Father and not to him He only asked if we want to ask in His name not to pray to him,he gives all the Praise and Honor and Glory to the Father how can he be the Father? Why would anyone in their right mind talk to themselves in Gethsemane or on the cross or why would the Father call down to him "This is my Son who I am well pleased with? and he is talking to himself??? All I know is Jesus is the Son conceived by the Holy Ghost and he is the sacrifice for sins of the world.I think this is why the Arab countries hate us because we serve two Gods to them,Who can understand this?>"?? Never mind the Eucharist??

OK. That is true. I thought you might be referring to the God the Father and God the Son.

Humans have human children, although lawyers and judges seem to think this is arbitrary when it comes to defining human beings.

it seems you have miss understood and misinterpreted - the human father is human and his son is also human and just as human - twinc

the Father is YAHWEH/ALLAH and the Son is also YAHWEH/ALLAH just as the father is HUMAN and the son is also equally HUMAN -twinc

no one can be called Father unless He has a son[or daughter]and no one can be a son without a father - a human son is no less human than his father but both are seperate beings so also with divinity where both Father and Son are equally divine[God] but both seperate beings - twinc

Your question implies a general understanding of the Doctrine of the Trinity as believed by all Christians. The Trinity of course is a mystery. This does not mean that it cannot be understood but rather that it cannot be understood COMPLETELY. Here is what we do know (as explained by a layman). "Hear O Israel the Lord thy God IS ONE GOD". God therefore is ONE God. There never was a time when HE did not exist. Never was a time when He did not think.
Now God has a thought or an idea about Himself. This thought or Idea has NO self deception. It is a perfect thought - a complete thought indeed it is a perfect reflection of who He is. The doctrine of the Trinity is that God s thought has a person hood as a character of the thought. Thus the Thought is a PERSON not separate from God but part of the Substance which we call God.
Here we might meditate on the early Nicean creed (GOD from GOD - Light From Light True God from True God).
The fact that the thought has a separate person hood is actually a necessity for the perfection of God to actually be real. Since there presumably was a time when ONLY God existed. If God -who is love - existed and loved Himself - this implies a sort of Narcissism - thus a defect in God. If the object of His Love is another person (the Son or the Word or the Thought) then His perfection is maintained. Thus the Son is the object of the Father's love by His very Nature. The natural product of the Love is LIFE itself (The Holy Spirit - who also has a separate personhood). All of Christian thought - the Sacraments - Marriage - Society - Grace etc flows from our understanding of this Self Revelation of God to us.

You need a better anti-virus program, and a fire-wall. Some computer protection software packages have real time protection when on the Net, and can warn of dangerous sites before you enter them.

I use McAfee and if I open a risky page it blocks it and asks me if if I really want to go there or get me out of there. I love it.

Well my computer has been down for two days so this could be a virus because I did open it up But I did a lot of work on my computer defragment etc. Ticks me off to have my machine run slow and not even open at all since last night,I got it going at last this late afternoon in safe mode.

He/she does have robotic responses.

I've wondered at times if he/she "cuts and pastes" them from a page in Word.

Odd, for a supposed college graduate and pastor.

I've never even heard of spam-bots before. Shows how much I know.

Faith_at_Large Posted - 08/30/2012 : 21:03:42
I missed that, but I don't read every post (by spam-bots). Very clever. But I think that it draws from the context - or we have a human hawking websites and just posting as efficiently and economically as possible to get the site in.

That "spam-bot" even wished you a happy anniversary, Faith. Did you notice?
Faith_at_Large Posted - 08/30/2012 : 19:33:37
That has been a very prolific spam-bot, "she" has been posting on all sorts of threads here and for a bot, the posts are not half bad.

I probably should have "outed" the bot sooner, but I forgot that some might not recognize it for what it was. I thought "she" was amusing.
