 I was wondering if everyone that believes in Jesus truly believes in the angelic realm also? It seems to me that if they did teach in just what the bible says then they are missing allot of stuff that was forgotten from the past. More and more has been left out because of the Protestants not liking it. I like angels and I know they exist so why are Protestants afraid to preach about them? Do they feel like they are worshiping them?I am almost seeing why just the bible is fine but you need a little more if you want to survive in any belief.Instead of dinners and pool and ladies night and men's luncheons and garage sales etc there should be more of God!!! Am I dumb or am I beginning to see something I never did before? B3 |

Your Catholic Bible does have it. The Catechism may make reference to it, but would not have the whole book, just as it is not necessary to have any other Bible books in their entirety - it references them and we are encouraged to read the Bible as well. |

It's an Old Testament book of the Bible. The old KJVs had it but not any more. It is in Catholic Bibles like the Douay-Rheims (which is a lot like KJV), RSV, NAB, etc. |

The Catholic Church still has the Book of Tobit. Tobit had the misfortune of being lumped in with some other books that were quite damning to the Jews who crucified Christ, so the whole collection of books were removed from the Hebrew canon - since the Jews had not finalized their canon, they could do this without causing an uproar among their own people, although some books were harder to remove from their liturgy.
Luther removed these same books because they went against his new doctrine of "Faith Alone", and used the Jewish rejection of these books as evidence of this being OK.
Since the Jews no longer had authority over anything after Christ established His Church, this is a poor reason to have a shortened OT Canon. The Book of Tobit and the rest of the Deuterocanonical books, provide excellent insight into the New Testament. |

We do have Angels, Matt 18: 10.
The Bible mentions a lot about Angels, So we should believe in them.
In what way G4? How do you believe in them and do you ever ask any to help you? Like Michael? There is a place where it say's to be careful for we might be entertaining an angel and not know it:) B3 |

I don't recall ever hearing them preached about as a Baptist either, but I was raised with the belief that I had a guardian angel. |

Now I know what it means to take scripture out of context because they don't talk about them except on Christmas,yet they ignore that fact they exist and can be of help to us in lots of matters.I'll bet the books they didn't put into the bible were angel chapters? I think when the Lord comes back he will have the machines like Ezekiel had described in his book and they will take us away to the heavenly places. |

While still a Baptist, I asked a Baptist friend why no one seemed to teach about angels. He didn't know.
Angels surrounded our Lord during His agony in the garden. What makes any of us think we should be able to go through life without their help?
It is a mystery to me. And one I still struggle with, never having previously made it a practice to acknowledge angelic assistance.
Angels saved my brother from death... one would think that would be enough to wake me up. Some things are just beyond me... |

The Bible is full of Angels, including the New Testament which Protestants do accept.
I believe in Angels. I have trusted in my Guardian Angel my whole life, and introduced my children to the concept of their guardian angels as well. The Bible says that all God's little ones on earth have angels in Heaven that are in communion with Him. |
