There is an issue in California that requires the assistance of all believers and even those who may not believe, but at least are open to leaving medical and psychiatric care to professionals rather than politicians.
I am copying elements from another source (not written by me, but by those directly affected) to better explain the situation. I am not American, but this trend has been hitting other countries as well and is a real problem in England already.

I know that in the hands of a competent therapist, reparation therapy is not dangerous. I also know that there are a variety of methods that are very effective in helping people transition from gay to straight. I know individuals who have been successfully treated and after years of living a gay lifestyle are now very happily living a straight lifestyle.
But the most horrific aspect of this bill is that it will prevent effective therapy for those who have been sexually abused who may be feeling conflicted in their sexual orientation. While this is not the typical cause for homosexuality, many victims of same-sex sexual abuse do question their own sexuality and may be confused. The popular trend is to treat those who are questioning their sexuality to embrace homosexuality as the norm, and to condemn therapists who seek to help them rediscover their own natural sexuality.
One thing that would help would be for those who are American, and especially for those in California to speak up.

The therapy that that they are seeking to ban also helps those who are gay, regardless of how they got that way. And many therapists who engage in this kind of therapy are not there to force treatment on anyone. The few that I know, work with the patient to achieve their own desired goals even if this does not include transitioning to straight.
Same sex attraction (SSA) is just one symptom, but it is often accompanied by others. Sexual addiction is also a huge problem for some and this too needs treatment, but political correctness is getting to the point where no one wants to admit that anything needs treatment except to embrace whatever "condition" one may have as if it were unchangable.
Therapists need to be able to treat their patients without fear of losing their licences or going to jail.
For all those in the US, please fight for the rights of all to be treated if they seek treatment. |

SB 1172, the California bill that will ban all forms of secular or religious therapy for those with unwanted same-sex attractions, will be given its next hearing before an Assembly Committee on Tuesday, June 26th.
If this passes, it means even young victims of sexual abuse who have any questions about their own sexuality as a result (which is quite common) will not be able to be treated except to help them become gay.
This is a monstrous Bill that should be stopped. This Bill affects both psychological therapy and any type of religion-based therapy for homosexuals suffering from unwanted same sex attraction, and likely also those suffering from Gender Identity Disorder.
Anyone who lives in the US has a say in this. Everyone outside the US should be adding their prayers to stop this. |

Those examples remind me of the Children of God cult. I became aware of them several years ago when I stumbled across the suicide note video of one of their offspring. Apparently the cult had believed sexuality was a positive thing even from birth and had terribly and routinely abused their children. The young man whose video I watched described the horrible consequences for him and his sister and many others. His funeral was also broadcast on YouTube where many more of the damaged young people spoke up.
The sexual confusion of the 60s, 70s, and 80s (not to mention the years leading to today) has done every bit of the harm predicted in Church documents and more. |

It is definitely tragic.
Something else that many don't realize is that when homosexuality was dropped from the DSM4, there was an initial push to also have pedophilia changed so that therapy would only be required if the child molester felt guilty about molesting children. The assertion was that pedophilia is normal and does not require treatment unless it becomes an issue for the pedophile. The wording to this effect was dropped when the DSM4 was finalized.
I should point out that at no time was this being used to suggest that any laws against child molestation be lifted. Being "normal" was not considered to be the same as being "legal" or even morally right.
There is an organization in the US that is promoting Hebephilia and Pedophilia as a normal and healthy outlet, and this is "supported" by Dr. Alfred Kinsey's very flawed work. That is one slippery slope that I would like to avoid. |

Nine years, that's 3rd grade for heaven's sake. And the GLBT agenda pushes this in order to confirm their own sexual behaviors.
Young adults incorrectly think that "highschool is their whole world".
Young adults commit suicide due to how they interpret their whole existance, which is actually constructed around only those people in their class (250 people - more or less).

Tanning you child in a tanning booth is child abuse, and so is allowing your child to go through gender reassignment surgery, but I guess whenever sex is involved people's brains drop into their underwear.
This boy had not even reached adolescence. He was nine. And not even considered old enough to consent to any kind of surgery.
The fact that a child wants something whether it be tanning or a tattoo or major reconstructive surgery to change a perceived/psychological descrepancy between physical appearance and interior "feeling" of being the wrong gender, is not a good reason to provide it.
That child will live with his parents mistake for the rest of his life.
And the thing is that this is madness. A few decades ago, it became popular to find people with Multiple Personality Disorder - suddenly psychiatrists for "finding" cases all over the place and uncovering "forgotten" memories of abuse that never happened. A great deal of damage was done then too.
Now there are many therapists that are playing "god" yet again, and trying to help people become all sorts of things that they just aren't.
True transgenderism is extremely rare and requires medical testing to diagnose, not psychological. Psychological cases can be treated without breaking the fundamental rule of psychology - never give in to you patient's delusion. |

Wow...sexual reassignment surgery & hormone treatment on adolescent children.
How is that not child abuse?
I'm thinking of the mother who was arrested for taking her 6 or 7 year old daughter into a tanning booth, that was on the news for 1.5 weeks.

There is tremendous damage even now. I know of two young boys, one nine, and the other may be a little older, who are suffering for Gender Identity Disorder. The first has already undergone gender reassignment treatment and surgery at the request of his parents and the second has been put on a regimine designed to slow down his sexual development so that he will have time to decide if he will also undergo this surgery.
The first boy has been stripped of his fertility. He will never be able to father a child and because he was born a male, he will also never be able to give birth as a mother. And he will have to be on hormone therapy for the rest of his life in order to maintain the illusion of his "feminine" self. The hormones being used are not risk free, and this has been done to a young boy who is not even old enough to sort out if this is a phase or something that requires treatment of any kind.
Ironically, the second child is the son of two lesbian parents and while they are certainly open to his changing to a woman, they showed a lot more sense. While I disagree with even the hormone therapy to delay puberty, I am very glad that they are not jumping into surgery. They are giving their son time to think about it and not rush into anything he may regret later.
Elsewhere in the US a father was arrested and thrown in jail because he refused to let his six year old son attend a sex-education class that included indoctrination on Transgenderism.
It is all well and good to be open minded, but this is getting ridiculous and it is harming our youth.
I also know of people who thought they were transgendered and later realized that they were wrong. This should never be done to a child. |

My sister is a 'lunch lady' in Ohio. She said this year there are two children in middle school who are sexually disoriented.
One of the children, a young boy believes himself to be female, his parents allow him to wear lipstick, long feminine hairstyles, he associates with girls to the exclusion of boys, etc.
Heaven forbid his parents attempt to get the child some psychological help.
The liberal public education system (with teachers who support abortion and the homosexual agenda) are now teaching that human sexuality is an experimentation in choice.
Look into the future - with those thoughts and behaviors and take a guess at the increase of HIV-AIDS into all societies.
The damage that will occur to children raised by young parents who swing between the male and the female.

Update. Apparently the email to submit letters does go to the right person, but it is not the preferred email.
