Many claim to have been raped and lost their marriages and children due to Thomas Streitferdt Sr. One woman recently had several surgeries due to Streitferdt and her husband. Streitferdt's wife recently died mysteriously and Streitferdt did not tell their daughter about more...

That is a good point. People who are under the spell of such cults usually do not have the strength to stand up to their leaders. One pretty much has to get out, get their own mental health dealt with, and then they might be in a place to help others. This may sound unfair, but I went through this process with fundamentalist Chrisitianity. (Maybe others are recovering from spiritual abuse as a Catholic - it can happen there, too.) In fact, I don't think I'm totally free yet - and there is always a residue in the various circles that attempt to pull you one way or another. Religion is a strange thing - so much good - a literal lifeline - but if one gets into the toxic elements, it can screw with your head big time.

You are so right! Because naughty people use religion to cover up their mischief, the power behind the use of religion, in this situation, some have been institutionalized. Also, as soon as a member dies Thomas Streitferdt Sr will make phone calls immediately to take the insurance money of which he tells the members to sign over to the church instead leaving it for their ungodly relatives.

There is so much more that Thomas Streitferdt has done and is doing!

I don't know if all abusive churches like this one incorporates all thie same things such as the sex scandles conducted by Streitferdt. He preaches to his members that it is okay for a father to see and feel his teenage daughter and it is okay for a mother to touch and handle her teenage son's penis and so on. This is an example of the dangers that follow some preachers who will not be associated with organizations that have those in authority that would be over "a Streitferdt" minister.

Also, he preaches that God only has and uses one minister at a time and that God only has 10,000 saints. So by this, believers of Streitferdt's doctrine must work really hard to get in the "kingdom of Thomas Streitferdt". This is not to belittle the believers of God.

Again, the name of the organization was just changed and back to "The True Church of God" name.

Thomas Streitferdt preached to his members that no one is to celebrate Christmas because it is a Pagan holiday and the story behind the holiday bare false information. Now, there is incorrect data behind this holiday, but Streitferdt used that to turn everyone away from it and with a threat so no member participates in Christmas gift giving or spending money on all their relatives and friends. Immediately afterwards, Thomas Streitferdt began teaching that the money saved from avoiding Christmas participation should be given to God or in this case to him. He then began to increase the requests for the amount of offering, he introduced third year tithes and the school building fund pledges. Get this, the school building construction did not take place until the second time, years later, Thomas Streitferdt began requesting donations and pledges. So all the members gave so much money just to go into his pockets for which he went and bought a brand new Mercedez and paid for it in cash. The amount was between $70k to $80k.

Wow! Accusations had been made that when Thomas Streitferdt's wife, Lucille Bernice Streitferdt, was alive and too ill to change her own diaper Thomas Streitferdt commanded that a construction worker for his house and the True Church of God's school, The King's Academy, change his wife's diaper. How degrading and abuse! Thomas Streitferdt, a family member, or a medical professional should have assisted and taken care of her.

FYI, Thomas Streitferdt's wife had been spending time with their daugher and family who left Streitferdt's church, True Church of God. Now, when a member leaves The True Church of God, located in Harlem NY, they immediately become an enemy of God and the church, per Thomas Streitferdt's doctrine. So, per accusations, Lucille Bernice Streitferdt became very and surprisingly ill right after church members and you know who found out about her visits to their daughter. This is so sad and church members seem to believe whatever their minister says and still claim that Thomas Streitferdt is the only one preaching and teaching the pure Word of God as Jesus would have it.

Hello harmony,

I hope you are doing well and are spiritually strong. Per accusation, one person just left Streitferdt's church and checked himself into a VA mental hospital after he found out what Streitferdt had been doing to one of his loved ones as he was being so loyal to Streitferdt. God, help this person.

I'm doing quite well, thank you. I was there for about 15-16 years. I remember when the rape trial was going on.....I was attending the school then. How long were you a member.

Wow this is scary :-) I was around during the trial days. I'm really happy to be out of there. Its just not a good thing that Streitferdt is still doing the samethings, but worse. Rumors, I meant direct rumors are that Streitferdt killed Sis. Streitferdt Sr. because he was so upset that she visited her daughter who left the church and many members followed.

I'm glad to hear you are doing well! Some are still afected. Good news is that Pastor and Sis. Tapper have a churcrh in Queens and are there to help people who were affected by you know who.

yeah......i know about the church. i've been there....well when it was at the hotel. It was funny to see their oldest being holy...lol. I couldn't wait to get out of there.

So they are helping people deal with their experiences. Wow! If something had happened to me, I don't know if I could go to them. They knew of things that were happening and they covered for T.S.

I heard there was money involved with Lucille S's death. Its all rather interesting.
