Can a great faith Christian raise micheal Jackson from the dead??The bible does say we can do greater things as jesus , and we can cast out demon raise the dead, so I thought about MJ and if he was to be raised from the dead it would be a great witness to the christian more...

Choices:

yes MJ be raised from the dead
no MJ can not be raised from the dead

(Anonymous Vote)
I may or may not believe coming forward is a necessary condition for salvation. But, if I clearly taught elsewhere that repentance/belief alone was sufficient no one would think coming forward is necessary for salvation,or water baptism is necessary for salvation.

Evan, then why don't you bring MJ back from the dead?

Matthew 10: 8 is for all believers in christ, there is a difference in 1cor : 12 and Matthew 10:8, Mark 16 and matthew 28. 1 cor 12 leaves a responsibility with the believer to desire after spiritual gifts but the other scriptures above are commandments to believers. It is so sad that the body of Christ here on earth is sleeping but i believe there is a remnant God is preparing who will walk in everything that God promised to believers in the bible. God will definately restore all the years that the locusts and cankerworm have eaten Joel 2

To covet or desire pertains to things that we do not possess. You seem to think that these are things that we do possess.

Matthew 10:5-8 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into [any] city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

Mat 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Mat 10:7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Mat 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give."

The Church can do all of these things, but in this chapter, Jesus ordained 12. Later on Jesus ordained 70 men. And these men also went out and cast out demons and preached the kingdom. But where in the scriptures do you find that all Christians are commanded to do these things, or even that all christians will each possess all of the gifts given to the Apostles who were set apart.

Paul says that we are to covet the better or higher gifts. Paul did not say that we would possess all of them, in fact, in 1 Corinthans 14, Paul berates those who think that their own gifts are better than those of others and seek to put themselves above others. It is so bad that Paul is greatful that he is able to speak in tongues lest the highminded fools think him unworthy to speak to them.

It seems that you are seeking a magical time, and I would guess that you do not personally have the gift of healing and have not raised anyone from the dead. Fear not. Jesus has kept all of His promises, but you are looking in the wrong direction.

My own grandmother was healed by a true healer, not the fake kind wearing a glittery white suit, but a true man of God who asked nothing in return and denied credit, given all glory to God.

I have seen lots of people imitate the gift of tongues and ending up sounding like banshees and other demons. But there are greater gifts and lesser gifts. Tongues, even when true, is a lesser gift - a gift none-the-less.

I have coveted the higher gifts and been blessed, and know that there is a more excellent way, just as Paul said there was.

All of the gifts are still present, but do not be jealous if you do not possess them. Take a little more time with the scriptures and less time chasing after carnival shows.

The Apostles did indeed perform great signs and wonders, and these signs and wonders are still possible; however, be careful and heed the warnings of the scriptures.

2 Thessalonians 2:6-10 "And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

2Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth [will let], until he be taken out of the way.

2Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

2Th 2:9 [Even him], whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved."

Matthew 7:21-23 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

Seek after the more excellent gifts and do not be so enamoured of the works of power. Not all who prophesy or cast out demons or perform other impressive works will enter Heaven.

Malachi 1:11 "For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name [shall be] great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense [shall be] offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name [shall be] great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts."

Mark 8:11-12 "And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.

Mar 8:12 And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation."

Seeking a sign is not our goal as Christians. Thomas doubted and needed to see the holes in Christ's hands and side before he would believe. Do we as Christians today really need signs and wonders from God? That they do occur from time to time is a blessing, but I worry about a generation that seeks after signs instead of the focusing on the Truth of Christ's Message for us.

I think you would be a better RC than a detective!
Did you observe that the man was also in a different place maybe at home waiting for the pastor to raise him from the dead, as Jesus used this man of God to lay hands on him in a different place and yes with other cloths. because he might also went to the bath room in those other pants???

One love Mike

of course i noticed that evan... that's why it was weird. though you do have a point about going to the bathroom.

now why would you think that the body of christ is sleeping? are you asleep? if so why lump everyone else in with you? and what's up with the remnant theology.... just because you can't get along with Gods church in no way means your the remnant.... if i had a buck for every person that threw out the "remnant" card as some judgement against what they considered a weak church..... well i still wouldn't be able to buy a jet like benny hinn.

I didn't know Benny is blessed with a jet plane also!
I thought only Creflo and the copeland, jesse Duplantis, and most other Charismatic Evangelist had jet plnes ands helicopters??
Most evangelist don't like red lights and traffic jams, so it is better and faster to fly!
If Jesus still walk this earth today he would problemly have his own airport so all the diciple can land safly there and refuel.

... besides, comparing Vatican City to Benny Hinn is a little ridiculous.

Jesus came in humility and humble circumstances. There is no way that He would have had an airport or airplanes or helicopters.

When He comes in Glory at the end of days, He will not need them and neither will we.

I am glad to see more people voted that MJ can be raised from the dead if God told a born again Christian to raised Micheal Jackson like many charismatic evangelist has done in the past and is still doing!

i could compare all sorts of things that really have no real relation too evan... but what would be the point of that. i mean the jw's were at my house a few weeks ago and they stole the same bible you did from the church and are using it for their own purposes. the mormons have prophets and charismatics and pentacostals also claim to have prophets... though i think they are really just trying to make a profit.... so they can show everyone how rich god has made them which is really what the modern churches have changed the gospel to.
