Just wondering what some of you think about rev 18.
The whore of Babylon.
I say it's America and we are getting nuked some time in the future lol. If the gov starts trying to micro chip you. You better buy some plane tickets and leave the country. Papas coming home lol.
Just what I think of rev 18. How about you guys?

I'm not a futurist, but I believe history repeats itself if we refuse to learn from its mistakes. Any nation that forgets God fits the bill. And yes, America is one.

Originally, the Whore of Babylon was Jerusalem and the beast she rode was the Roman Emperor - his number provided Nero Ceasar as the archetype. She, the Whore, is the Great City where our Lord was crucified, and both the OT and Jesus described Jerusalem in similar terms as found in the Book of Revelation.
But just as Babylon represents the enemy of God's people, this could become any temporal power that opposes God, and the Whore any government or organization that cooperates with the Beast.

I have always thought it is America because she is the leader of all countries and we all know that the government is the beast,so she is the one that will be on every waters.But I was wondering about the whore doesn't she have 7 hills and this country is not as old as Rome that was why others feel it is Rome and not this country.Can you tell me why you feel it is America and not Rome?The USA is set up just like Rome in the government so you could be right on this because she would be a smaller Rome but the deadly one.You know people are being killed all over the world that are Christians because of governments an d this government is not Christian any more this government has concentration camps already made up for those who defect did you now that?B3 Blessings and Peace! Jerusalem also sits on 7 hills, but the enemies of the Church don't seem to mention that.
The number 7 equals completion. IMO, any nation that is complete in the eyes of man yet incomplete in the eyes of God is the whore.

My reasons for saying it's America.
''Then the angel said to me, “The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages.''
America is called the melting pot. We have peoples of all nations
''I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus.''
America is a Christian nation and we are being killed by it's evils.
''Woman that sits on seven hills''
The statue of liberty sits on seven hills.
''The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries.”
We love luxuries like no other nation.
“The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her because no one buys their cargoes anymore''
If we go down everyone's economy will be destroyed.
''Your merchants were the world’s important people.''
America again.
''For all the nations have drunk
the maddening wine of her adulteries.''
Americas the biggest porn industry in the world.
''Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her:
death, mourning and famine.
She will be consumed by fire,
for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.''
Consumed by fire?
''In one hour she has been brought to ruin!’''
How in one hour is such a city destroyed by fire?

Sounds like a nuke to me and if you toss a stone in the water it looks like a nuklear explosion just smaller in size. It fits the destroyed in 1 hour by fire and links to the next verse.
see the smoke of her burning, they will weep and mourn over her. 10 Terrified at her torment, they will stand far off and cry:
Sounds a little like radiation.

Americas already working on micro chips for this application. It's not talking about passed events. Besides the worlds suppose to end soon after the whore is destroyed.

Sorry i'm not trying to freak everyone out lol. I was just wondering what other people thought of it. Just been on my mind recently. I just feel like it's talking about America really clearly. I could be completely wrong. What do you guys think?

I used to think the same thing. But the truth is, that way of reasoning is what led the Reformers and others to this day to accuse the Catholic Church of being the whore, so I try to avoid it now.
There are many antichrists all over the world. Obama is one. Like Julian the Apostate and others, he issued a mandate in which Christians would have to sell out their beliefs (violation of conscience) in order to obey said mandate (HHS).
(Julian, the last pagan Roman Emperor, forced the citizens to eat food sprinkled with the blood of idols.)
As St. Augustine says, "Anyone who does not love God is an antichrist." That's what we need to focus on.
The whole point of Revelation was to reveal Jesus Christ... to show the world that He is God. Everything else proves to serve as a stumblingblock in the mind of modern man. The book wasn't meant to be interpreted out of context of the time and culture in which it was written. But this is all just my view.

Ya i'm not looking at it to build my life around lol. It's just kinda fun to look at. I don't dwell on anything in it. The only thing I take from it. Watch out if a president get's seriously wounded in his 42nd month of office and if the gov tries to microchip us i'm leaving the country lol.

Babylon has always been the enemy of God's people, from the time of the original, actual Babylon.
The Whore of Babylon merely cooperated with the leader of Babylon (the Beast) to persecute God's people.
The enemy used to be more clearly defined, but now not so much.
Christians are being persecuted all over the world. In some places it is with violence and death, but elsewhere it is more insideous.

A lot of Greek Bible scholars believe it is the catholic church.

Alot of Greek bible scholars hate the church. Thus having to condem or hate what destroys their theolgy. So to continue to live in denial they must attack and hate what proves their theolgy wrong.
The whore of Babylon is portrayed as a city not a church. I don't expect people brainwashed and full of hate to see.
You are kepha and upon this kepha I will build my church. You know the rest lol. Just come home already and stop fighting the truth. God bless <3

A lot of Greek Bible scholars believe it is the catholic church.
Of course Protestants believe it is the catholic church because Protestants are trying to make themselves look good by making the true Church look bad. Protestants using Greek is irrelevant because just as they misinterpret the English they misinterpret Greek.
Through bigotry prejudices false assumptions & false premises Protestants are protesting a catholic church made up by Protestantism that does not actually exist.
