Do you believe that Wycliff was a Saint? Or a heretic?

Wycliff actually was not killed by the Catholic Church, he died from a stroke. But the Church was declared him a heretic (he was the founders of the Lollards), and were so upset with him that they dug up his dead body and burned it.

The bible he produced was the least of his errors, but it showed off some of them - he rewrote the Bible to make it fit his own preferences. He hated authority, and rejected clergy - priests, bishops, etc. He tried to remove clerical authority from the scriptures.

Not everything he did was wrong. There were matters that did need reform and were reformed later by the Catholic Church, but he also did things that were harmful to Christians in general. He was a heretic and should never have tampered with the Word of God. Perhaps he may even have been struck down by God for doing this horrible thing - but, I suspect a stroke is just a stroke.

[1]catholics aren't in Christ, They are the devils people.

[2]Wycliffe was killed by catholics because he gave the Bible to the people and it was challenging the catholics authority.

Can you imagine how evil the catholics are, Killing people because they were Bible beliving Bible preaching people who callenged the catholis authority. [Not the catholics had any God given Bible authority], But the esablished their own evil authority

Why does everyone seem to think that Catholics have killed Protestants but not the other way around?

So, g4, is it ok that many Catholics have been killed by Protestants for their beliefs? Is this justified in the eyes of God because (as you say) "He hates Catholics"?

g4, just admit it - you know absolutely nothing about neither European nor Christian history but merely choose to make up lies based on your bigotry.

Protestants aren't Christians, Not in my country.

No they didn't. Stop telling lies. That he died of a stroke is a fact, not a theory. I really wish you would read a book every now and then.

I do think it's interesting how prots ridicule modern bible versions they don't consider authorized but make every excuse for wycliffes inaccurate and biased version.
