We as Christians and people who realize what big trouble America is in, should work as hard as we can to get Romney and Ryan in. Paul Ryan is a genious and true prodigy!!

I knew Romney would choose a Catholic running mate. I have no strong feelings about Paul Ryan one way or another. At least he didn't choose Palin.

President Mitt? Really? Can he not be persuaded to change his name to something that actually sounds like a name, rather than a child's glove?

Well, I suppose he could use his real name, "Willard" if it didn't bring to mind a tottering, white haired old gentleman with hair sprouting from his ears. Maybe he figures the name "Mitt" will capture the imagination of todays youth. lol.

I might vote for Romney just for the hope that Ryan might be the President in a few years. I'm not much on Romney, to be honest. I do like Ryan, though, and have great respect for him.

I'm not big on Romney either, but it looks like he may be getting my vote for the same reason McCain did last election - a vote against Obama. I'm not too familiar with Ryan yet.

Mitt. That is funny, but the name reminds me of baseball... President Mitt sounds very American in contrast to President Barrack Hussein Obama.

The thing that bugs me about Romney isn't the fact that he's a Mormon but the idea that he has the Catholic vote in his back pocket. He is all too aware of the predicament Catholics are in this election year, and like any politician, uses it for his own political gain. We have a Catholic VP now, and a big fat lot of good its doing us. I'm aware that there is a big difference between Biden and Ryan's views on abortion, but that is how I'm going to have to look at the upcoming election; Ryan vs Biden rather than Romney vs Obama. That is the only way I will be able to vote in good conscience.
Or I may just write in another candidates name (John F. Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, e.g.). I've done that before, too.

IMO, like most of Obama's crew, Biden is a cafeteria Catholic, and the Democratic party is his primary religion. I have heard that Paul Ryan is a cafeteria Catholic, too, but I haven't looked into him enough to decide.

When it comes to politicians, I could care less what creed they confess, as long as they are for God over the secular beast.

Oddly enough, Ron Paul seems more Catholic than any of them, and he's Baptist (Raised Episcopalian but left due to their views on homosexuality and abortion).

I liked Ron Paul as well. Too bad he didn't have a snowballs chance in Texas. I liked Huckabee also.

Yeah, Huckabee was governor of Arkansas, my neighbor state (I live in Tennessee). Most Conservatives I know around here love him. Though he surely had political reasons as well, I got a kick out of how he called for National Chick-Fil-A Appreciation day.

It seems that catholics both sides of the salty pond share a dilemma. There have been efforts to form alternative parties over here, including a christian one (not that that necessarily provides comfort), but it's hard to break into the 2 or 3 party cartel. I'm afraid catholics may become, in effect, increasingly disenfranchised. I dont agree with not voting, or spoiling a vote, but if you have a choice of candidates what are you to do?

This is awful - I cant think of anything remotely amusing to say about 'Willard'. On that basis alone he'll have to stick with Mitt

I also think Gingrich would have had a better shot if he went by Newton instead of Newt. Who wants a President named "Newt"?
Of course, 10 years ago, I would never believed we would have a President named "Barack Hussein" either.

Was Huckabee really the one who started that whole "Chick-Fil-A" flak?
One thing you can say about Huckabee, he's big on gimmicks. I still remember him and Chuck Norris traveling together on their "Huck and Chuck" campaign trail. And does he still have that interview show on the Fox News Channel, where he jams out on his electric guitar at the end? I think we need more people like him as candidates.

Let's remember, we are not electing a "dictator" who will control morality! But, we know which side is more indebted to doing and supporting conservative things...We need to vote for the preservation of the republic!! This current administration is trying to bring in socialism like never before and probably merge us with European socialism! Maybe Biden and Ryan are both Catholic, but which one is serving under the better banner? Some may laugh, but 100 years from now, Ryan my have a legacy right up there with the founding fathers!! We could enjoy 16 years with Ryan right in the center of everything! Kind of like Joseph in Genesis, Pharoah is the King but Joseph called all the shots. For the record, I'm not catholic, but Ryan doesn't have to agree with me on every fine point of doctrine for me to understand that he is an honest and decent man who loves to work very hard and has the brilliance, good heart and energy to bring about a change that is real!! Many people are on the fence right now in this election...do what you can to bring them to their senses in this election..DO IT FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!!

Unfortunately, Huckabee's gimmicks have a way of backfiring in the worst, but often hilarious ways. Chick-Fil-A had customers lined back for half a mile to get their sandwiches, and they could not accommodate all those people. They had to stay open to prevent rioting and if they ran out of food they had to deal with the irate crowds at any rate.
Huck and Chuck was another rather bone-headed move. Huck and Chuck sounds like something you would do if your Chick-Fil-A sandwich accidentally got lodged in your windpipe.
I'm glad to know that his show is still on, though.
