Inquistion and Jihads are perfect examples

Inquistion and Jihads are perfect examples of "cultivating truth". The Vatican thus called young Muslims and Christians to "cultivate truth and freedom, in order to be genuine heralds of justice and peace and builders of a culture which respects the dignity and the rights of every citizen."
http://www.zenit.org/article-35314?l=english

Obviously peace doesn't flow from being a new creation in Christ,
as both Catholics and Muslims can cultivate peace.

The Inquisition is the Roman Catholic witness
and the daily new is the witness for the religion of peace!

Is there still any doubt that the Vatican doesn't know what they are talking about?
Jn 8:43-44 Why is my language not clear to you?
Because you are unable to hear what I say.
You belong to your father, the devil,
and you want to carry out your father’s desires.

There's no doubt that you don't know that your talking about. I always find it interesting when people start talking about the inquisition. I would like for once to hear those people explain why there even was an inquisition. When they see the whole picture, and deal with the facts instead of the myth, it often changes their perspective. The same people that attack the involvement of the church in protecting Europe from invasion by Islam in the middle ages, are the same ones crying about Obama and sheria Law today. I wish they would make up their minds, but sadly too many people are lost in conspiracies and stereotypes and have mixed that with an obnoxiously pessimistic popular history.

The interesting thing about all of this is that there was a time of such peace in the middle ages which was enjoyed by Muslim, Jew, and Christian. I would look to why that fell apart in the first place to see what went wrong before following the so called enlightened crowd and blaming religion. Too often, the politics and governments take a back row seat and let religion take the blame, but the truth is that the inquisition and the crusades were not so different than our attempts at homeland security, and involvement in the idle east today, which has been criticized by many again as being religious in nature. Claiming that it's Christian America vs Muslims.

Look con, I'm sure you mean well,,, like I used to mean well when I was anti catholic, but until you really do your own research, and by that I mean honest and fair research, you are not going to have much to offer that hasn't already been debunked by those of us who have taken the time to find truth.

I hope that you can move in that direction rather than remain like Evan or g4 who continue in ignorance and propaganda.

The truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it.

Well all I can say is Jesus wants all of us to get along with every one on earth but to rebuke your enemies and shake your feet and go away. As far as the Muslims most of them in this country want some kind of peace but the most are war and Christian slaughterers and I hate Sharia laws and feel this is not America any more to allow such filth against woman and young girls.Imagine a God who would force you to be good is that what they worship? Must be they have a different God just as I thought, you can't b e a slave to two masters as they quite well know. I watched a Muslim kill a Christian a month or so ago on a video and it was horrible I really hate them myself they are criminals and unjust. They laugh at us and do what they want and we can';t stop them because of our rotten government ways, this country is gong to hell with the arabs!May Abba come back with vengence for them!

Was that during the Inquisition
when the Catholics simply killed those who dared to disagree?

I don't get you, Conqueror. Just because you get spanked on another thread you think we are declaring some sort of Holy War against you.
I can assure you that the members of this forum are generous, forgiving people (at least on our side) who are more than willing to give you the benefit of instruction. But if you come on here acting like a belligerent ass you will get taken down a notch. Take it from me.

More abuse and a threat!
Bless you for treating me like that,
whom you consider a separated brother.
Jesus tells me that you are in the dark
and that probably explains
why you cannot answer the OP.

Oh, geez. Really?! Look, Conqueror, the call for Muslims to be heralds of justice and peace by the Vatican is necessary if we are going to have any semblance of peace in that region.
Unlike Christianity, the concept of love and forgiveness are not central tenets of Islam or Judaism. Only a fool would love his enemy according to them. Christians are the ones who will be called as witnesses to peace because we have Christ. Maybe I was a little hard on you on my last posting and my intent was not to insult you. I find it rather difficult to answer your questions because you phrase them as anti-Catholic rantings that have no answer. From what I could make of your question I think I've answered it to the best of my ability.

The Vatican calls on Muslims to cultivate peace.
Do you think that unregenerate Muslims are able to do this,
keeping in mind their long standing reputation for jihad and violence?

If the Vatican knew what they were talking about,
then they wouldn't make these ridiculous suggestions.

I disagree. To this day, Pope Pius XII is reviled by most Jews because they claim he did not speak out forcefully enough against the Nazis. Despite the fact that he saved an estimated 860,000 Jews from certain death by hiding them in convents, monasteries, and the Vatican itself, he did it because it was the right thing to do.
So I don't think it was a ridiculous suggestion at all. We are not to underestimate the power of Christ.

We were talking about the suggestion
of the Vatican for Muslims to cultivate peace.

Does your contribution of popes being reviled add to this and how?

History repeats itself, you know. Just as Pius XII is reviled by most Jews, Benedict XVI would likely be equally as condemned by the Muslim world if he kept silence on the issue. Some of the seed may fall on rocks and thorns, some may be eaten by birds. If some falls on fertile ground there may be peace. As I said in my earlier post, do not underestimate the power of Christ or His Word. Pope Leo the Great was able to stop Attila the Hun from ransacking Rome by whispering something in his ear. So let the Pope say his piece. Don't let these little things bother you.

How can an unregenerate Muslim cultivate peace?
There has never been a peaceful Muslim.
You and your pope haven't got a clue!
I must commend you both for pretending!

O Ye of little faith! It is un-Christian to think that Christ cannot convert even the hardest of hearts and to harbor such hatred and bigotry in your own. I honestly don't know what else to say to you. You hate both the aggressors and the peacemakers. Christ died so that ALL may be saved, excluding no-one. We are called not to preach to the choir, but to sinners and unbelievers.

Have you missed the correlation - present day Iraq contains the remains of the city of Nineveh.

Luke 1:37. Nothing is impossible for God.

P.S. Unlike atheists, people who believe in monotheistic religions (such as many Muslims and Jews) place there faith in Allah or G-d the Father. We are like them, in that way. We each share our faith in God the Father.

And again, why is it that you believe you determine for God those souls who are "saved" and whose who are not?

Judgement is not yours, it belongs only to Christ.

It is rather naive to compare God with Allah.
This is further evidence that you don't have a clue.
