If G4 was there during Jesus' time

I have been away for a while and didn't plan on coming back. I would just glance on the forum here and there and can see that nothing has change for G4- Same old rhetoric, same old hate posts, same old unsubstantiated "facts" which are nothing but lies. Same old same old from him. A thought came to me the other day so I decided to just make a quick post. I probably won't even bother to comment on the responses from G4 as I know they will be the same thing over and over.
I was thinking how G4 would have reacted to Jesus words if he happened to be in the crowd Jesus would speak to. I thought of several scenarios but thought I would make up only two of them. Here they are:
Scene 1: Matthew 23: Then addressing the people and his disciples Jesus said, ‘The scribes and the Pharisees occupy the chair of Moses. You must therefore do what they tell you and listen to what they say.’ A voice was heard from the crowd saying, ‘The chair of Moses? There you go telling lies again. Show me from scripture where it says “The Chair of Moses and I’ll show you where it says “slain in the spirit”. You can’t because you don’t know the scriptures. You are always telling porkies. You are from Nazareth and we know nothing good comes from there. It’s a good job you’re going to hell. ”
Scene 2: John 6:31-33 “I am the living bread which has come down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live for ever; and the bread that I shall give is my flesh for the life of the world.” Then the Jews started arguing with one another: “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?" Another one said, "There you go again telling lies. You are from the devil. You are the unsavior. You are always telling porkies. It’s a good job you’re going to hell. ”
I know MJ and Theo can come up with gobs of others.
We must never glance at what is good in ourselves, much less ponder over it, but we should search out what is wrong and what is lacking. This is an excellent way of remaining humble.

At1ment, it would be nice to have more people on the forum for more normal discussions.
It is very easy to get drawn into G4's nonsense, but I would like to try to avoid that, and I am sure that others would too. We have had the potential for some interesting discussions recently. We just need to work around his input which generally offers nothing to the discussion.

hey at1... hows it goin? yeah g4 is still here. i don't know why. i think he just likes to here himself babble or maybe he gets off on thinking he can send people to hell... ((whisper)) I think he did too many drugs in his youth((whisper)).. eh hem.. anyway good to see you again.. please stick around..

At1ment yes please come back as I need more input if I am going to make it as a follower of the faith. Now I have Faith, Mike, and Acumencry I love all of them and they have been patient with me but I want to feel really sure of this because I am tired of fooling around in different churches I was taught that any church is OK because if
they aren't teaching satanism it must be of God. It sounded OK to me,how do you tell people that it is not? What proof would I offer them?OH! I've been getting help but a little more would be nice:) B3

If you read my posts, You'll see how wrong the catholic church is, You are making a big mistake going back to the catholic church who make the word of God of none effect, They add to the Bible, and God says anyone who does this is a liar.

G4 Lets be fair with this, every church has it's own set or rules they use, and the Catholics are very distinguished as they are put in a format that is for everyone to go by and this format is called the cannon of laws if you go the the first people the Jews, that ever had the first part of the bible they have a cannon also they have their rule to go by the Catholics believe in Jesus and love their neighbors etc. What are they doing that is so wrong and if they are Baptized wrong it will not be on their heads for Jesus said don't do what they do but do what they tell you to, about the scribes and Pharisees.These people are loving and kind and they reach out to others who really want to know about the faith Just ask them about any thing and they will discuss it with you and you should use scriptures when you tell them they are going to hell because they do not know Jesus back up your words with the power of the Holy Spirit of God because that is the only way to discuss anything not banging heads it does not work.

[1]JWs, mormons and moslims believe in Jesus, But that doesn't make them Christians, So what makes you think catholics are Christians just because the believe in Jesus, The devil believes in Jesus, Is he saved??.
[2]catholic believe water baptisms saves, Yet they aren't baptised, So according to them, There not saved.
[3]Being a Christian is to be born of the Spirit of God, And He is the Spirit of truth who leads into all truth.
So if a catholic got saved, The Spirit would lead them out of the catholic church.

Funny that we should be compared to groups that worship an entirely different version of Jesus.
The JWs do not worship a Trinitarian God. Their Jesus is a second deity altogether.
The Mormons do not believe in God at all in the conventional sense, they beleive that God was once a man like us and that we will become a "god" like him and have our own planets.
Muslims and some Jews believe that Jesus was only a human prophet and not the Son of God.
Pentecostals are split in their beliefs - some believing in a Trinitarian God with Jesus being the second Person of the Trinity, being the Son of God, being both fully man and fully God - which is what Catholics believe. Other Pentecostals believe that the fleshly Jesus was just God walking around in the flesh. No Trinity, and no separation of the Father and the Son, but the Father squishing Himself into a suit of flesh named Jesus, a la Vishnu, to walk among us.

Well this is the thing – First of all it was not my intention to make fun at all of G4. My hope was for him to see himself reacting to Jesus’ words because lets face it, Jesus drew lots of criticism and those around him didn’t believe him. Just as G4 does not believe the history of the CC, does not believe the teachings of the Church which have remained true since its foundation. Just as the Pharisees misinterpreted the writings G4 just because, he reads scripture, forms his own opinion and then claims they are of God does not necessarily make it so. My intent was for G4 to sit back, take a good look at himself and see how he would have reacted to Jesus’ words, but my prediction was true as to what his reply would be which wasquote:

Unfortunately “potential” has gone out the window because of him. I remember seen some old faces pop up a few months back from some non-Catholics who actually had interesting discussions in the past and who were civil, and loving but G4 started attacking them, (I think pastor Bob [if that was his correct name] was one of them) and probably decided it was just best to leave this forum.
What G4 has done, and you rightfully say his input “…which generally offers nothing to the discussion”, has done more damage than good. I see where this forum has turned to nothing but antics from him, hatred, self-boasting, accusations, condemnations, and more and I’m sure that’s one of the reason he has been kicked out of other forums as he offers nothing to the discussions.
I see where the title of this forum is “Spero Forum - Baptist, Protestant, and Catholic Discussion”. He claims not to be any of these so I don’t know what he is doing here, other than to come and judge and condemn and call people all sorts of vulgarities. I personally believe he should have been kicked out long time ago (again that is my personal opinion FWIW and I'm not the moderator) and believe that would probably attract some non-Catholics who really want to have a discussion. Who wants to participate in a forum that has turned from good discussion into a circus? Sorry, but that is not for me. I’ll probably be getting rid of the Internet in a couple of months anyway (things are hard when on limited income) and have to save $$. I know God will provide but I have to do my part too.
I was going to start a new thread to discuss the history of the Catholic Church. G4's contention was that it started 300-600 after Jesus but refuses to offer any citations so it would be pointless and there would be nothing but accusations, hatred, etc. from G4. There would be absolutely no discussion whatsoever so I decided against it.
BTW look at http://www.gracecentered.com/christian_forums/theology/salvation-how-everything-fits-into-god%27s-plan/45/ web page from Christian Forums - Dr Truth AKA g4 spewing same garbage there as here and getting spanked too.
So again, I say, goodbye to all and make God bless you all and may God have mercy on the soul of G4, (still praying for you G4). I know G4’s reply will be another attack. What else does he post?
