Southern Baptists “Stand With the Bishops” Against the White House

quote:
At its Annual Meeting in New Orleans last week, the Southern Baptist Convention adopted a resolution on Religious Liberty.

Representing about 45,000 individual churches with 16 million members, the Southern Baptist Convention is a voluntary organization whose members agree on a statement of beliefs. Almost 8,000 “messengers,” or church representatives, attended the Annual Meeting. The SBC made history this year by electing its first African-American President, Rev. Fred Luter, Jr. It also made history by, for the first time, directing its members to work with Catholics in the fight to preserve religious liberty.

I can't help but wonder if Hell froze over, but at the same time, the HSS Mandate is a direct attack on religious freedom that will affect everyone.

More and more Christian denominations are joining with the Catholic Church, uniting with The Bishops, against a tyranny that threatens us all.

These fellow Christians are not about to change their doctrines or accept the Pope or uniquely Catholic teachins, but they recognize that the Catholic Church in the USA is fighting for the rights of all Christians, and no matter what our differences are - this is common ground.

The House of God should never have been divided in the first place, but we can thank Obama for contributing to some of the shoring up that needed to take place.

God bless America.

I wish no harm to the man, but I would not want to be in his shoes come judgment day.

Then again, may be God will give him credit for uniting Christianity at least on one issue.
