Why was Isaiah so elated about the theology Luther discovered?Isaiah 61:10 I delight greatly in the LORD;my soul rejoices in my God.For he has clothed me with garments of salvationand arrayed me in a robe of righteousness,Question: Why did Isaiah think that he was savedand more...
Jn 8:43-44 Why is my language not clear to you?
Because you are unable to hear what I say.
You belong to your father, the devil,
and you want to carry out your father’s desires.

Furthermore you do not trust Jesus,
but the way the papacy presents their idea of Jesus to you.

Wrong again. Your assumption is based on a false premise. Like I said, I trust in Jesus, and I was doing so long before I had even heard of the papacy.

Why do you quote passages about the wicked,
when I am talking about
those who are saved and wear the robe of His righteousness?
Is it because you identify with the wicked?

Repentance means turning to Jesus
so you admit that you regularly turn away from Him.

It that your witness here?

Using manipulation still con? Repentance means turning to Jesus, so you admit you don't turn to him?

And still waiting for your proof of salvation.

Nope, I keep my eyes on Christ. I already told you this... but I do slip.

Are you saying you are perfect and without sin? Is that your witness here? If so, then you better take some inventory.

My witness is that of Christ's salvation.

Thank you for confirming
that your salvation is dependent on your performance,
which is slipping or not,
and therefore not dependent on the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.

This is clear evidence of a DYO type of salvation!

Not at all.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

That confirms that the saints, Paul addressed, were saved
otherwise they couldn't work out their salvation.

Salvation is a cooperation with the family of God:

"My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me...."

Salvation is not an outright guarantee for Christians, it is not a right at the exclusion of unrepentant wrongs, and it is not a license.

Christ's command is echoed in Philippians:

Philippians 2:12

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Wy not? Again, your only upset that we don't accept your claim to infallibility. Anyway, all you need to do is walk into any non catholic church and see who the blind really are. I've seen them fall on the ground, bark like dogs, babble, claim to prophecy, etc and evangelicals suck it right up. I wasn't the sycophant then and I'm not now. I accept the church because I found its claims to be true, not because I was told I had to. That probably bothers you the most, to see someone who has truly found the truth and the freedom that accompanies it, but the truth is there for you too. Don't settle for the false propaganda of anti catholicis. Let go and let god man.

You are welcome to reject religion on the actions of men.

What makes you think that your Holy Inquisition,
rampant and systemic paedophilia are so attractive.

I base my faith on what God revealed in the scriptures
and not of the opinions of that little runt in Rome.

You separate justification and sanctification, yet Paul does not do that here.

Pray tell. How is one "saved" in your denomination?.

You're apparently in a hierarchical position - determining the eternal location of souls.

Bless you for your condemnation.

You only have the scriptures because of that little runt in Rome. Rofl. Your just another ignorant pessimist ranting away on fallacies that you didn't take the time to verify. There is no point in accusing Catholics of blindly following a pope when your whole argument is based on blindness.

Btw what makes your inquisition and rampant and systematic paedophelia so attractive? Sorry to fill you in but pedophilia isn't just a problem that the Catholics faced. It is also found to greater degree in non catholic churches. I actually knew born again Christians that raped, beat their wives, stole, went to strip clubs, committed adultery, and add a little baker and swaggart to taste and Walla. A plank in your eye !

If you want to sling dirt I will win every time dude. And I won't need to go to the liberal press to find it. From my own experience and people I know from my time as a born again. Manipulation and abuse, cliques and legalism. Still haven't run into this as a catholic. not that I won't, I just haven't. As a born again it was let down time and time again.
