Inquistion and Jihads are perfect examples

Inquistion and Jihads are perfect examples of "cultivating truth". The Vatican thus called young Muslims and Christians to "cultivate truth and freedom, in order to be genuine heralds of justice and peace and builders of a culture which respects the dignity and the rights more...

The interesting thing about all of this is that there was a time of such peace in the middle ages which was enjoyed by Muslim, Jew, and Christian.

Was that during the Inquisition
when the Catholics simply killed those who dared to disagree?

You can always tell who hasn't done their homework. Con, may I suggest doing some research before you demonstrate just how little you know?

Catholics didn't simply kill those who disagree. As a matter of fact the churches involvement saved many people from being killed by the civil authorities. The middle ages was full of people who disagreed, and it didn't result in being killed. Many people however were killed for daring to be catholic, by the rebellion of the reformation.

Roman Catholics here
still try and kill opposition
by ridicule and abuse.

You worship the same god, as the Muslim monster
and we all know how blessed the Muslims are.

Not all Muslims are extremists. You need a little less television or something. Quit buying into the demonization propaganda and think for yourself.

The Catholic Church grew out of that nonsense long ago, yet Protestants were still burning witches by the bulk a few hundred years ago. g4 would probably hunt all the Catholics here down and kill them if he knew he could get away with it. I guess that's what happens when religions are formed after the true faith and begin relying on silly superstitions based on their uneducated interpretations of holy writ. It only makes sense that we have a head start... our Church was being led by the Holy Spirit into all truth for a millennium and a half before yours was even formed.

Your ad hominem tactics are silly. They only prove that you do not respect the truth. We don't resort to that type of evasion tactic. Why not? Because the truth is in us, and it's better to just use that as our arsenal.

And if by kill, you mean "correct", then yes, Catholics often do that to you. Not out of malevolence, but out of respect for truth and love for it and you.

It reminds me of this time in grade school when I witnessed one kid point to another kid and say, "Hey, you spilled cheese on your shirt." The self-made "victim" knew he had cheese on his shirt, but instead of cleaning it off, he started crying because he was embarrassed.

We're just trying to point out the cheese you have spilled on your shirt. No harm intended.

Hey, Conqueror, how about some more whine with that cheese?

Sorry, I couldn't pass that one up.

Naive about popery and naive about the works of Satan in Islam.
Can you contribute anything but naivety?

You make these inane comments about knowing the truth,
Your agenda is to promote the papacy and your Mary.

Hide behind your insults all you want, but it will not change the truth. And I'm not defending Islam, but individual Muslims from your bigotry.

My agenda? "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." - Matthew 22:37

Heart, soul and mind. Don't leave your mind at the foot of the cross. Think, then get back to us after you have done your homework.

There has never been a peaceful Muslim.
You and your pope haven't got a clue!
I must commend you both for pretending!

It is rather naive to compare God with Allah.
This is further evidence that you don't have a clue.

quote:

841 The Church's relationship with the Muslims.

"The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day."330

842 The Church's bond with non-Christian religions is in the first place the common origin and end of the human race:

All nations form but one community.

This is so because all stem from the one stock which God created to people the entire earth, and also because all share a common destiny, namely God.

His providence, evident goodness, and saving designs extend to all against the day when the elect are gathered together in the holy city. . .331

843 The Catholic Church recognizes in other religions that search, among shadows and images, for the God who is unknown yet near since he gives life and breath and all things and wants all men to be saved.

Thus, the Church considers all goodness and truth found in these religions as "a preparation for the Gospel and given by him who enlightens all men that they may at length have life."332

844 In their religious behavior, however, men also display the limits and errors that disfigure the image of God in them:

Very often, deceived by the Evil One, men have become vain in their reasonings, and have exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and served the creature rather than the Creator. Or else, living and dying in this world without God, they are exposed to ultimate despair.333

845 To reunite all his children, scattered and led astray by sin, the Father willed to call the whole of humanity together into his Son's Church.

The Church is the place where humanity must rediscover its unity and salvation. The Church is "the world reconciled." She is that bark which "in the full sail of the Lord's cross, by the breath of the Holy Spirit, navigates safely in this world." According to another image dear to the Church Fathers, she is prefigured by Noah's ark, which alone saves from the flood.334

Again, bless you for your disparaging remarks and for condemning me. Please, in future, make every attempt to avoid the sin of calumny. Willfully done, it is mortal to your soul, a sin against the 8th Commandment.

Bless you child
You seem to have found yourself a little confused in your response,
In one breath you pout about us Catholics defending our faith and claim we are using ridicule and abuse.
I the next you ridicule and abuse us.. More hypocrisy from the con man.

In other words since Catholics don't teach that all Muslims are going to hell, we worship a Muslim Monster?
A fine way of twisting things, indeed!
When one points out hypocrisy on your part you whine about us "killing the opposition with ridicule and abuse." Well Conk, nobodys buying your schtick anymore. Manipulation will get you nowhere.

According to your papacy
you worship the same monster as the Muslims.
Muslims must be saved as
jihad is their expression of love and peace.
Like the Catholic inquisition and pedophiles
they love others so much.

Ugh, no.

The Pope was able to extend out and say as much as could be said in Christian generosity and Truth.

You apparently are unaware of the vast numbers of Orthodox and Catholic Christians who live in Muslim countries.

You don't strike me as being all that into "love and peace" and if anything, you show just as much hatred as your typical "unregenerate Muslim."
I don't think even you believe what you're saying. You'll lie, blaspheme, and manipulate just to get a reaction from us because in some sick way you get off to it. Not very mature.
