Wednesday Evening Bible Study

I have been invited by a good friend and his wife to participate in their Methodist bible study every Wednesday evening. I guess you could call it more of an Adult Education class. As my friends wife describes it, it's a one hour presentation and another hour of open more...

Well, I went; can't say I was too terribly impressed. The presentation was an hour and 41 minutes (yes, I timed it), leaving only 12 minutes of discussion. The class was lead by a retired minister, I'm not sure of his denomination. The discussion was on the book of Job. He doesn't believe Job was a real person, just a story on how the Lord chastises His own people. Likely I won't return. The people were rather cold and distant; very un-typical Texans, I thought. At least I gave it a shot.
