Can we get some one that really studied why the Reformation really started and was there killings by the church before this? My reason is no one should kill anyone just because they are not part of the church. I see it as if they were not part then it is their own choosing more...

I'm sure Arius may have said something along those same lines.

But the fact remains, the Bible tells us that we are to hold fast to the traditions we have received. Sola Scriptura is not one the early traditions. Much less, is it the sole tradition.

Nice try, but in reality, it is an excuse to not follow proper authority.

The Bible itself does not support the false doctrine of Sola Scriptura, and history has demonstrated that this doctrine has not worked well.

Since its invention during the Reformation, its adherants have splintered into over 40,000 different denominations, and many more non-denom churches and individuals who have given up on the many Protestant denominations and sought to distance themselves from it through other means.

Presently, many ancient heresies are rising again after previously being stamped out. The fringes of Christianity are disintegrating into paganism and even the core doctrines that every Reformer held to be absolute TRUTH, are now questioned - from the Trinity, the Bodily Resurrection of Christ, even His nature is questioned.

The canon of Scripture is under question by some, and heretical scriptures are being brought back into play after been rightly rejected for centuries.

Sola Scriptura has produced absolutely NO good fruit and instead is fractured the Body of Christ in a way that Satan himself could never have done.

How dare you refer to your vile and disgusting papacy as the proper authority! Did you forget the inquisition and the greedy indulgences, the sexual immorality?
Jn 8:43-44 Why is my language not clear to you?
Because you are unable to hear what I say.
You belong to your father, the devil,
and you want to carry out your father’s desires.

Did you forget all the evils committed by non-Catholic Christians? Probably so, because we don't throw these in your faces repeatedly. Why not? Because that does more harm than good in bringing about God's kingdom on earth. We are not to judge the entire Body of Christ based on the fact that He chooses some Judases (both within and without communion with Rome) .

What concern are NCCs to me? Are you now suggesting that Jesus was responsible for your abhorrent papacy?

Guys, "protestantism" existed long before the Reformation... I mean, the Orthodox churches (easter, greek, etc) and the Catholic church were once the "State Church of Rome", and they split up, because the Orthodox churchs didn't buy into the "Pope" thing. That happened in the year 1054 (I think)... It was called the Great Schism. (you can find it on wikipedia). All those churches, like in Greece, Turkey, "Asia Minor" - the places that Paul visited - blew off the bunch that became the "Roman Catholic" church (ie, "Papists"). That disagreement went WAY back in history... it didn't just happen in 1054... Those orthodox guys were really the first "protestants" (if you want to call them that).

BTW - the orthodox churches actually believe that Peter was "this rock" that Jesus refered to in Matt 16:18 ("...you are Peter, and upon this rock..."), but they just figure he was one of many. Like, Jesus was saying "upon this rock (named Peter), AND, also, upon Matthew, John, Bartholemew, etc..." because the scripture says the church was built on ALL the apostles (Eph 2:20, I think)... So, yeh, they believe Peter was "this rock", but they don't believe he was the first Pope...

OK... Good info on all that at http://www.freetowne.com/pppk

Hi,I like yor information and I would like to know where I can go to read this? All I seek is the truth as Jesus told us to do,know nthe truth and the truth will set you free, and you will be free in deed. I like history but allot of it are lies. Sounds good. There are over 40,000 denominations, many more non-denoms and home churches, and one mother Church. ONE and only ONE is the Pillar and Ground of Truth and the safe Sheep Fold that Jesus promised would withstand the Gates of Hell. All the rest are potential feed lots for the Devil.

Good luck figuring out which one is the right one. I will stick with the one Jesus actually started.

The catholic church isn't God's Church so why do you call it the Mother Church??, Why do you call it the pillar and ground of truth??
It's a ground of lies as it has been proved.

When your in hell you'll know how false the catholic church is.
