What's Next for the Reading Club?

We have only two weeks left for The Innocence of Father Brown, so I thought we should talk about what's next. Folks like a schedule -- we've fallen into a "start reading on Wednesday and start discussion on Saturday" rhythm. Is everyone okay with that? If not, please more...

An excellent work, from what I understand, by a great professor at my alma mater.

I'm currently working through The Chronicles of Narnia. Shamefully, I must admit this is the first time I have read it.

Anyway just picked up Pope Benedicts' "Jesus of Nazereth"
Whoa is the Pope smart or what only a couple chapters in and the lessons on Jesus' baptism in the Jordan by John are truly eye opening.

Love it... love it... but I'm only on Ch. 2. I took a break to read his The Spirit of the Liturgy which is also really wonderful. I'm just starting on Part 2 of that one.

We started the philosophy discussion 'way back when, but it proved to be too secular for me at the time (and probably still is). All interesting stuff, though.

Just received my cope of the Pope's Jesus of Nazareth book from Amazon yesterday (4 quid second hand - wot a bargain!). I've only read the intro so far, but, yes, he does appear to have a very readable style.

I have written a book title JESUS. HIS LIFE AND WORK ON EARTH AND BEYOND. It is a study into telepathy and dream interpretation. There has been so much written on the subject that when I mention it people automatically become defensive, no we don't want to read another one. I approached a few publisher and when they all refused I published it myself. As I learned, publishers examine name recognition and marketability, their editors practically rewrite your book for you. Not mine, I thought, I want it released exactly as I wrote it.
The book is what the title suggests, it is what Jesus does in the world beyond. A family man with four children, his wife works in a hospital. He guided me through this book examining "the human condition" on Earth, paying special attention to women's issues. Justice, corruption, the narcotisc trade and of course what happens when a person dies on Earth and arrives to the other world. Your performance review that follows, which then will determine your future tasks.
Just thought I let you know the book is available.

too late.. a person already wrote a book about what jesus does in the world beyond, and it doesn't have anything to do with children. are you sure your not just looking for attention? a lot of people who write books often feel that by writing a book they become some kind of authority, kind of like how celebrities feel their political opinions should be heeded, but in both cases i disagree.
