Total Recall

Description

In this remake of Paul Verhoeven's Total Recall, Colin Farrell takes the place of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Science-fiction fans who've seen clips are saying this version is "Total Recall" meets "Blade Runner."

In the story, the nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai vie for supremacy, Farrell begins to suspect that he's a spy, though he is unaware which side of the fight he's on.

Three reasons to watch it

  1. This is a Philip Dick short story: "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale." Colin Farrell already starred in a Philip Dick-inspired movie: "Minority Report."
  2. The director, Len Wiseman, has an eye towards reality. In his "Live Free or Die Hard," he injected adreneline into a stale and cartoonish franchise. Expect him to do this same with Verhoeven's previous work.
  3. Blade Runner meets Total Recall.
