According to a recent study, the blogosphere is growing at an amazing rate. Every second people are starting a new blog. People are using blogs to publish all kind of information, in any imaginable niche.

 

Despire this fact, blog awareness is still low especially among non-bloggers. If you disagree, just ask five random people on the street. Some of them may have heard of the term "blog" itself, but they cannot describe what it is to others.

 

As a blog is also a typical website with its pages, it is indexed ranked in search engines too. Some people might be reading a blog without knowing it.

 

When it comes to business blogs, the confusion is even more common. In business application, a blog can be used for different purposes. Most of them related to instant publishing, getting the business heard, and building conversations with prospects and customers. A blog, with all the infrastructures allow those to happen. Today, we are going to talk about two main types of a business blog. This is what caused the most confusion in the business blogging world.

 

The first type of a business blog is simply called a business blog. When bloggers use this phrase, they usually refer to this type of blog. Let me elaborate.

 

A business in general means any kind of organization operated with the objective to make a profit. If we agree on this definition, then every blog out there that is built to generate revenue, either directly or indirectly, is a business blog.

 

What people, especially bloggers point to when they use the phrase "business blog" is usually a blog that is established to address a specific goal of the existing business.
