But this is really a police action against a criminal gang of genocidal maniacs called Hamas. Gaza is still part of the State of Israel. Every effort is being taken by the IDF to avoid civilian casualties, including phoning the people living in a target zone ahead of strikes - allowing them to move weapons, and kill Israeli soldiers. Israelis are laying down their lives for their enemies.

Romans 13 makes it clear that the government does not bear the *sword* in vain.
