Sanford fell short of his own ideals

Is it that leaders fall short of standards, or is it that our answers to human frailty increasingly tend to deny that any standards exist?

It is interesting you use the word "liberty" in the same sentence you vilify same sex marriage. Is liberty JUST for republicans? By the way---I am a gay republican. Apparently freedom, liberty and government intrusion have been twisted to deny civil rights for same sex couples. No liberty and freedom here. Oh, and you will be happy to know the governments of many states have gone to the trouble to legislatively and specifically targeted homosexuals be denied the right to marry. If they ever tried to do that with guns you would be up in arms, and rightfully so. Sorry, I just think your line of thining is inconsistent.
