Catholic Church did not favor Honduras coup d'etat

Cardinal Rodriguez Maradiaga of Honduras is working behind the scenes to prevent a bloodbath in reaction to the coup that befel former President Zelaya. The church, according to a spokesman, did not favor Zelaya's re-election plans nor a coup.
