Lunch for a child? It is something good; it's just not enough.
It makes good publicity to brag about soothing the hunger pains of a child; all done while massaging the enormous ego of the impoverished Catholic Church who seems impotent to do more. God save us from those slippery greedy politicians - from the top to the bottom - who decry a deficiency of funding when their genuine deficiencies are a lack of character and will. When will the Church get serious, clean out their basement, sell a spare Rembrandt or two on E-bay, and then commit your billions to doing something more than offering a cheap meal. Why not start by building low-cost homes on your vacant investment properties located in every barangay in the nation. To politicians and pastors alike: Quit offering crumbs to those who hunger while living lavish lifestyles that betray your true colors. Judge yourselves by this simple standard: To whom much is given, much is required. Have we no shame? Is it true that 800,000 squatter families are digging out an existence, dying each day under the bridges of our cities? God forgive us for sleeping at night while our brothers and sisters rot! by Concerned Person | Tuesday, November 03, 2009 3:56:40 PM | Report

The poor and squatters can have 10 kids and throw them on the streets immediately without punishment or responsibility.
The church is against any "un-natural" birth control. Getting thrown out on the streets is worse than child abuse and child molestation. The kids do not get any education and learn to steal at a very young age or die of hunger.
Govt cannot support the quadrillion and escalating number of poor. They multiply so fast.
The church is very influential on govt here so shit happens. If the church complaints on the suffering of the kids, to hell with them. They should take care of the kids.
