Myth One

And remember the history of the TRUE church, not the one that became the Catholic Church. The true New Testament Church was persecuted by the Catholic church. Why? Because the N.T. church did not believe in baptismal regeneration.

Ana-Baptists "re-baptized" those who were converts....because infant baptism was already being practiced.

P.S. I am NOT a Protestant...I am a BAPTIST. Baptists are NOT Protestants. The Baptist church stems directly from the N.T. church, did not come out of the Catholic Church.

We all know what happen after the reformation, but what was the situation the first 1000 years. The Catholic Church seems to have all the records to prove their existance. I don't consider myself a protestant but a person who recognises only Jesus Christ as the only authority because it was given to Him by the Father which makes Him the high priest over all and does not need any help. Please give me your opinion. We can't go any futher back than about the 15th century.

Myth Two

The local church which I attend and have membership is autonomous and there is no history of it having burned any one at the stake in its almost 100 year autonomy as a local church founded upon the principles of the Word of God, the final authority of faith and practice.

On the other hand the Church of Rome claims to be the Apostolic Church founded upon the "rock" the Apostle Peter, supposedly the first Bishop of the Church of Rome succeeded by subsequent "popes" unto this very day.

Myth Four

To paraphrase what I think Jesus was saying...'You are Peter, Cephas, a stone...and upon your admittance that I am the Messiah, the True Rock and Cornerstone... because of this fact, upon this Rock, (Cornerstone, Measuring Stone) I will build My Church.'

Myth Six

"I am a strong believer in the KJV and IMHO the KJV was written FOR freedom. Freedom for people to actually be able to read the Word of God instead of being blinded by the RCC repetitive scaraments. We are called to be seperated from the world. I don't believe that just because the book was translated under English ruler ship causes one to place that translation in the "worldy" catagory.

"...There are many other translation that use the RCC manscripts to translate from. I believe the KJV IS seperated because of that very reason, no influence from the RCC."
