Staying along the same vein, CatholicLand writes an open letter to president-elect Obama in Let there be Peace on Earth.
Dearest victims of the Culture of Death, whose innocent blood has so horrifically been spilled out, intercede for us this day that our country will continue to turn toward a new Culture of Life, a culture in which abortion will not be viewed as a choice but rather as the intrinsic evil that it is. Dearest children we beseech you to storm the Throne of Almighty God with your prayers, that America, in its most crucial hour, will choose life. Amen.

Call to mind the words of Archbishop Charles Chaput in his book "Render Unto Caesar:"

"We sin if we support 'prochoice' candidates without a truly proportionate reason for doing so -- that is, a reason grave enough to outweigh our obligation to end the killing of the unborn. And what would such a 'proportionate' reason look like? It would be a reason we could, with an honest heart, expect the unborn victims of abortion to accept when we meet them and need to explain our actions -- as we someday will."

Vote for Life! Vote for our Children! Vote for John Mc Cain and Sarah Palin!

In Christ,

A well formed conscience will always choose life, understanding that life is the preeminent right of each and every human being.

God bless America and may he protect us from evil.

What should we be doing to ensure that the Culture of Life is sustained and promoted over the next four years?

First of all, make sure you vote! Many states are allowing early voting, so if this is more convenient for you please make use of it. If you are waiting until November 4th (that's next Tuesday) make sure you actually go and be patient once you are there.

Second, at the polls, pray while you wait and talk with those around you in line about the value of human life and how abortion is intrinsically evil. It is okay to tell them where each candidates stands on all the life issues.

Third, visit Political Responsibility. There are multiple resources on where the candidates stand on issues surrounding the Culture of Life as well as ideas about what exactly you can do. It provides an awesome action guide for individuals and parishes.

Fourth, visit the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops website and read Faithful Citizenship as well as where the Church stands on the "Life Issues," see the tab in the column on the left-hand side of the homepage. Knowledge is power, so understanding why the Church is opposed to abortion, euthanasia, assisted suicide, contraception, and the other issues that contradict the Culture of Life is vital. Also, as I stated in my previous article visit ObamaMustSee.com and watch the video.

Fifth, support pro-life candidates. Volunteer to help their campaigns, donate, put up signs, use bumper stickers, pass out literature, and pray that those candidates will be elected.

America is pro-life! Our forefathers willed for us, in the Declaration of Independence, the rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and there is a reason they put them in that order. Life naturally come first, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are dependant on that initial right being protected. So vote pro-life!

EVERY VOTE COUNTS! Make sure everyone you know is voting and that they understand where the candidates stand on the issue that supercedes all other issues....THE DIGNITY OF HUMAN LIFE. This is the great issue of our time and we must remember that.

In Christ,
