What Christian doesn't know the prayer, Our Father - but out of complacency there is a real danger of not getting the most this and other spiritual gems.

If you are Catholic, there is a good chance that many of the following prayers are familiar - but there is always the chance that you didn't realize their importance. Many of these prayers are even popular among non-Catholics - although to varying degrees. In my own case, I was aware of a few of them but only upon chancing upon, and buying, a 1955 St Joseph Missal at an Anglican bargain book sale did I begin to discover the wealth of Christian prayers that have been handed down over the centuries.

With that in mind, the purpose of this section is to give a quick explainer behind the reasoning for each prayer, and their use in deepening one's Christian walk, as well as serving as a handy bookmark for remembering some of the more "elusive" ones.
