Jesus Gil's post reminds me that the rules about where you file for annulment have a few twists.
In the USA, if you were married in the Diocese of Liturgical Dance, but now live in the Diocese of Bowing Before Communion, you can file in either diocese. But your ex, now living in the Diocese of Where's the Tabernacle? can insist that the case be filed in either his diocese OR the originating diocese. There is a little flurry of waivers that must be signed.
Someone who was trying to make life miserable for someone else could make this inconvenient. Also, the dioceses all charge widely differing fees and someone could be a stinker about that, too. Not in my case; I'm the only one who cares and I filed in my current diocese.
