Bush, Tough moments will test America's resolve

Seeking to turn around sagging public support for the war in Iraq, George Bush tonight told the American people that the sacrifices being made were "vital to the future security of our country." The president flatly rejected calls by a number of Democrats -- and some Republicans -- to set a timetable for withdrawing U.S. forces from Iraq, calling such a move a "serious mistake."
