Senator Claire McCaskill (D) does not appear to want dissent within earshot, especially if it comes from males. That is the conclusion one can make from a video she provided to The Late Show.
"It’s not that women don’t value your thoughts, it’s just that we don’t value all of them," says the senator, who hails from Missouri.
McCaskill opened the segment by identifying herself as one of twenty women currently serving in the Senate, and that it falls upon her to encourage women to run for office."But equally important, it is to encourage more men to just shut the hell up."
McCaskill goes on to list a variety of topics on which men should definitely not opine. Said McCaskill,
"For example, what women do with their bodies. Hush."  Other topics include, she said, "Who the next James Bond should be. Zip it. Whether or not it’s pronounced gif or jif. Shut up!" Yet another topic men should not give an opinion on is the "Star Wars" movie series.
If men stay away from such forbidden topics, said the liberal Democrat,  “we’ll let you keep weighing in on marijuana legalization.”
