Once again we see liberal states pushing the permissive envelope that endangers our children.
With the passage of AB1266, signed into law by Governor Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown, children attending public school will now potentially have chaos in their bathrooms and locker rooms. AB1266 requires public schools in California to allow students to use whichever bathroom and locker room facilities they feel comfortable using under the guise of “tolerance”.
While the state already has enough discrimination laws on the books to protect homosexual and transgendered students, the Democrats that control both houses of the state legislature found it necessary to expose the vast majority (99%+) of our children to potential sexual assault. This measure, which takes effect January 1, according to the social engineers in the legislature, is intended to reduce bullying of transgender students.
So if a boy “feels” like a girl, he can simply enter the girls’ bathroom or locker room and complete his business in front of legitimate girls. This will undoubtedly lead to potential acts of both peeping and actual rapes by the perverts and degenerates posing as transgender students. And when these phony transgender boys realize they can sneak cameras and cell phones into the girls facilities, there will be a whole new aspect of internet criminal postings.
Fox News’s Bill O’Reilly called this law “the biggest con in the world”. And Fox’s Sean Hannity asked, “What do we do with the 7-year-old girl who goes into the locker room and there’s a 14-year-old boy naked in the girl’s locker room because that’s where he chooses to be?”
Absolute political correctness gone mad in California!!
Of course, Assemblyman, Ton Ammiano (D-San Francisco), author of the bill, received significant support for passage by the teachers unions. Yet, while these same unions are outraged by the potential for transgender students to be bullied, they don’t seem to display their outrage by the fact that fifty percent of the nearly 6.3 million California students can’t read or perform math problems efficiently.
One additional concern is that the bill also received support from parent-teacher organizations across the state. I, personally would like to know what parents supported this, another move to eliminate parental rights. Again, this law affects only .00001 percent of the children I public schools. So the better than 99% have to suffer the potentially perilous consequences of yet another move by the progressives running the state.
The only saving grace here is that citizens across California have hopefully submitted to the Secretary of State enough petition signatures to overturn this madness. 504,760 valid signatures are needed to place the initiative on the November, 2014 ballot. However, even if it succeeds, there may be nearly a year of this madness in public schools throughout California.
Other states that are controlled by the permissive progressives are attempting to take their states in the same direction. However, one state has already felt the backlash from its citizens.
Recently in Arizona parents’ outrage over a similar law forced a state’s House committee to approve a bill to protect businesses from liability if they prohibit transgender people from using the restroom of the gender they identify with.
This backlash is a result of transgender rights rapidly advancing. And this effort seems to be following the same course as same-sex marriage – both being outside the mainstream public. And entirely divorced from real civil rights issues.
Brad Dacus of the Pacific Justice Institute, which helped with the California initiative, is optimistic that county officials will certify the needed signatures to secure the initiatives’ placement on the November, 2014 ballot.
“We’re very grateful to the many who volunteered so many hours to get this done and we’re feeling good that it will be sufficient but it will be a few weeks before we know,” he said.
Let’s all of us sane people hope that Mr. Dacus is right…most especially for the sake of our children.
