Actress Susan Sarandon denounced famed actor and director Woody Allen at the Cannes Film Festival today. Sarandon said of Allen: "I think he sexually assaulted a child and I don't think that's right." She was speaking during a Women in Motion Talk with actress Geena Davis, sponsored by Variety magazine. "I have nothing good to say about him," she added. "I don't want to go there."

At the Cannes premiere of new film, "Cafe Society," comedian Laurent Lafitte made a rape joke involving director Roman Polanski that seemed to reference allegations that filmmaker Allen sexually abused his step-daughter, Dylan Farrow. Allen is currently married to a woman who was once the adopted child of actress Mia Farrow, with whom Allen had a long-standing relationship at the time

Gosspi and speculation about Allen has dominating talk at the famed annual film festival in France. Allen's son, Ronan Farrow, published an opinion article prior to the debut of "Cafe Society" in which he slammed the media for not digging into the allegations of sexual abuse allegedly committed by his putative father.
