On Fox News, Tucker Carlson said on Tuesday that Democrats are seeing their "avalanche of propaganda" continuing. Carlson said that they have sought to flip the script regarding the salacious dossier that was paid for by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratid National Committee. "Suddenly you hear the exact same phrase from every media-savvy hack and congressman," Carlson said. "Opposition research."

Until the revelations that the DNC and the Podesta Group -- owned by Clinton's campaign manager John Podesta -- came out, Democrats and leftists called the uncorroborated dossier "evidence of treason." Once ties to the DNC and loyal Democrats became public, the so-called "treason" was then described as "opposition research" by the accusers. "Now that Hillary paid for it, the story changed," he said, calling the dossier the Democrats' "linchpin in their remarkable efforts to overturn last years election results."

Carlson noted that two reporters for The New York Times reporters recently accused Democratic officials of lying to them for over a year about the dossier. He also said that journalist Byron York had reported that Washington Free Beacon funded initial opposition research on Trump through the Fusion GPS, which has also been linked to the DNC. Carlson said that the Free Beacon is funded by anti-Trump billionaire Paul Singer, a donor to the Republican party who supported Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.). The website had as a co-founder the Republican columnist William Kristol, who is one of the most prominent personalities identified as a "Never-Trumper."
