Frank Luntz, a pollster and political analyst who has been linked to the Republican party, took to Twitter last night with the prediction that the results of the Republican National Convention will be to propel nominee Donald Trump to at least match up with Hillary Clinton or even surpass her in the polls before the end of next week.
Luntz tweeted, "Mark my words, this speech will put Trump even or ahead of Hillary in polls by Monday, when the Democratic convention begins." His prognostication came in the aftermath of Trump’s formal acceptance of his nomination by the GOP to head the presidential ticket this number after having trounced his Republican primary rivals this spring. A CNN/ORC instant poll found that 56% of voters who watched Trump's speech at the RNC said they were more likely to vote him now. Of those polled, 32 percent said his speech had little effect on their opinion, while 10% said they were less likely to vote for him.
