According to the Rasmussen polling organization, voters are leaning towards returning the Democrats to control of the entire Congress for the first time since early 2011. A November 9-12 survey showed that 48 percent of Likely American voters say they would vote for the Democratic Party in the 2018 elections if their vote determined which party controlled the U.S. Senate.

The survey found that slightly fewer (42%) would vote instead for the Republican Party to continue controlling the Senate.

The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95 percent level of confidence.
