An anti-Trump Muslim religious leader told his congregations in Virginia that the United States offers "great potential" and that "it will be a Muslim nation.” Imam Sulaiman Jalloh frequently gives sermons in English at several mosques, including Dar Al Noor in Manassas, Virginia. In video, Jalloh

Imam Jalloh apparently condemned the Trump administration when he said on video:

“What has happened to the rachma in the hearts of mankind when children are detained in the borders of the country that hails itself to be the freest nation, the country that hails itself as the beacon of light on top of a hill for the rest of the world to see as an example? What happened when we as a nation exit the United Nations Human Rights Council? It means our record is so stained we do not even have the integrity and the honor to show our faces there to tell people what is human rights.”

Jalloh went on to say: “What’s in the mind of someone so depraved to think that a child is worth imprisonment?”

“Islam is the only solution to solving America’s problems. Islam will be the solution to solve the world’s problems. Do you know why people are not implementing Islam as a solution? Find one Muslim country that has implemented Islam to solve all the problems of the Muslim country. Not one can be an example of how Islam solves all of life’s problems. … America has great potential, I strongly believe. Inshallah, it will be a Muslim nation, and potentially one of the best Muslim nations that you will see in a long time."

Back in 2016, according to a CNN report, Jalloh advised fellow Muslims at the Dar Alnoor mosque to vote against then-candidate Donald Trump. Reportedly, he said, "Today, some people say, 'You and I have no right to be here.' That although this nation was founded on freedom of religion, your religion and mine is not welcome here. My dear respected brothers and sisters: This time, I believe none of us has the option to just sit home."

The CNN report commented, "There is little doubt that the Imam is referring to Trump's rhetoric during this campaign."

On LinkedIn, there a profile of Sulaiman Jalloh notes that he is employed by the Steptoe and Johnson law firm of Washington D.C. The person profiled on LinkedIn also lists himself as a former employee of Al Jazeera television network and the Administrative Office of U.S. Courts.

Steptoe and Johnson is an international law firm that represents Fortune 500 companies. Among the attorneys in the firm are prominent former government officials, including former U.S. Secretary of Interior and Arizona governor Bruce Babbit.
