Author Michael Knowles received a personal note of thanks from President Donald Trump in recognition of his book. The note read:

"Thank you for your book "Reasons to Vote for Democrats: A Comprehensive Guide." Your support means so much and I appreciate having my own copy. Congratulations on your success. Keep up the good work!"

Knowles’ book actually consists of 266 pages of absolutely nothing. It is filled with clean, blank, pages. For a time in March, it occupied the No. 4 slot on Amazon.com's "Best Sellers" list. In an interview with “Fox & Friends”, Knowles said, “What’s really great about this book, you can go cover-to-cover in about 15, 20 seconds.” The spoof book was billed as “the most exhaustively researched and coherently argued Democrat Party apologia to date.” A conservative journalist, Knowles sought to razz the Democrats for their lack of direction.

It was initially listed at $9.99 on Amazon, but it can now be purchased at a discount.

On Fox, Knowles said, “When I started researching the book and going through this exhaustive study process, at first I turned to the 2012 Democratic National Convention, and it turned out they were deciding whether or not to include God in their party platform.” Knowles added, in reference to their June 2016 national convention, “And the Democrats booed God. That’s not good. So I decided probably if I’m going to make a good case to vote for Democrats, probably just leave that chapter blank.”
