Police were called to the New York City 14th floor apartment of Erick Trump, a son of Republican presidential frontrunner Donald J. Trump, when his wife Lara received a package containing an unidenfied white powder and a threatening letter.
The letter was received by Lara Trump on March 17. When she opened it, white powder fell from the package. The letter threatened the grandchildren of candidate Trump if he does not retire from the current presidential race.
The New York City police department released a statement that it is investigating the incident. The report said that they responded to a report at approximately 7:30 p.m. ET that a suspicious package was received at the younger Trump's home. The letter and powder in question are being examined by law enforcement authorities, who are conducting an investigation.
